I am doing a series study of three of my professors. Over the semester I have noticed that each of them has a distinct pattern that they use when erasing the chalkboard at the end of their lecture. At the end of class I am using their stroke pattern to create abstract works with chalk, then I photograph the work and erase it. I will be doing this through the rest of the semester and printing them to show. This is the first of the series McClure.

What Remains... Chalk Art Series
PAPKE SERIES
I am doing a series study of three of my professors. Over the semester I have noticed that each of them has a distinct pattern that they use when erasing the chalkboard at the end of their lecture. At the end of class I am using their stroke pattern to create abstract works with chalk, then I photograph the work and erase it. I will be doing this through the rest of the semester and printing them to show. This is the first of the series Papke.
Sketch for New Work
Launching a couple of new concept art. This is a take on a sketching style that I have employed most of my life. I am going to develop these pieces into large format works that include gold leaf. Pretty excited about this.
